2015-B&B-Mydomus

Being a freelance sometimes gives one the privilege of being able to choose with whom to collaborate.

In our Brianza, where people eat bread and sawdust daily, there are certainly interesting realities, but there are still more companies which are thinking solely about their own profits, without worrying too much about their clients or employees.

In my opinion, the most interesting companies are the ones, more or less historic, usually still belonging to the first generation, which are managed by an entrepreneur that I would like to define “enlightened”. With this I mean being able to give his firm that quid more, not only let it “float” in a daily routine made up of order entries, but able to look for something more in order to keep up with the times, or even anticipate them.

It was in this context that, after years of long distance courtship, I succeeded in arriving at the court of Ezio Panzeri, CEO of Erre Erre diffusion.

Panzeri is primarily a purebred editor who does not disdain to dirty his hands with oil among the production frames, but also able to court an important client with the flair of knowledgeable people…. Working with him is every day a kind of challenge where the confrontation is always on very high levels of competition.

The Michelangelo Bed & Breakfast in the centre of Varenna is one of the challenges that we faced together, side by side, for the first time, after having met and estimated each other in the years of Jumbo Collection.

The owner was an old acquaintance of Panzeri’s and the place really needed a miracle to finish, staying in the budget, 4 rooms with a view on the lake, a breakfast room and a reception corner. The intervention was coordinated by MYDOMUS, a contract company created by Panzeri with his friend Cappelletti. Its purpose is to solve “at home” the clients’ continuous, sometimes urgent, special requests for works extra catalogue for supplies one different from the other. The result is a surgical operation, made up of details, sometimes totally irrelevant to most people, but which, respecting the budget and securing a profit margin all the same, really please everyone.

But mind you! In any work orchestrated by the mind of the CEO from Valmadrera (or better from Laorca, a village fraction north of Lecco) nothing is left to chance.

And the numerous guests of the new B&B Michelangelo really seem to appreciate it with a score of 9.5 on Booking.com!
